Dear School Parents:
Since the last day
of school in May, our TSP staff, Board, and Committees have made
preparations for the 2009-2010 school year. When school starts, a
make-over of the restrooms and locker rooms at the St. Paul center and new
carpeting in classrooms at the Trinity center should be completed. More
importantly, God answered our prayers, and the Trinity and St. Paul
congregations extended a call to Miss Christina Warnier to serve as
teacher for Grades 1 and 2. Miss Warnier is a graduate of Concordia
University-Nebraska and lives in Browns Valley, Minnesota.
She looks forward to teaching and becoming a member of our TSP
family.
We invite you to
look at our 2009-2010 registration forms, posted on the TSP website.
If
you do not have access to the website, please call the school office.
We’ll mail the forms or make arrangements for you to pick them up.
You
will need to complete the following registration forms: Emergency form,
Textbook loan form, Registration form, and the Student Pick-up Form, and
the Early Arrival and Late Pick-up form. You will also want to print off
the school supply list, and school calendar.
The physical,
vision, and dental examination forms do not format well for the website.
If your child is in grades K, 2, or 6 or will participate in sports, we
have enclosed the necessary physical forms. According to the state
requirements, students entering:
*Kindergarten
are required to show proof of a physical
examination and a vision
examination before October 15, 2009 and a dental
examination before May 15, 2010;
*Grade
2 are required to show proof of a dental
examination before May 15, 2010;
*Grade
6 are required to show proof of a physical
examination before October 15, 2009 and a dental
examination before May 15, 2010.
Registration is
scheduled at the St. Paul Center on Tuesday,
August 4, 5:00
p.m. - 8:00 p.m. We set aside this
night to take care of ALL payment of fees and completion of necessary
forms. Families with a student entering kindergarten must bring the
student’s birth certificate. Please make every effort to attend or
contact the school office to make other arrangements. We also ask that
parents bring three to four separate checks, payable as follows:
*TSP
PTL for sports/music and
non-fundraiser fees
(Thrivent Matching forms will be available).
*TSP
Lunch Program for first month’s
lunch fee.
*TSP
for registration fees, if not
already paid.
*TSP
Activity Fund for any spirit wear
you may wish to purchase.
This year our TSP
girls’ VB and BB teams will combine with girls’ teams from Zion,
Staunton. We are pleased that this association will enable all
participating girls in grades 4th-8th grade to
compete at their respective levels. With these new teams in place, we will
practice and play at both schools. All boys in grades 4th
through 8th grade may participate in softball at TSP. Practice
times will be announced soon.
Before- and after-school care is offered at the St. Paul Early Childhood
Learning Center located at 125 Wolf Avenue in Hamel. If you are interested
in this program, you must contact Terri Wagner at (618)633-3252. We will
provide transportation to and from this center.
God’s
blessings! We look forward to seeing you on registration night!
Mrs. Farrell and the
TSP Faculty
